House Tour: Guest Room

Aaron and I don’t have many guests but when we do we are very thankful that we have the room to be hosts. This guest room used to be the office until we decided to switch and make this the guest room. It’s very simple but a lot of work was put into the details. For example, the bed was an orange oak that I sanded, painted, and distressed; the desk was white particle board that I refinished; The night stand is a suitcase with legs; I made the signs on the sides of the bed. It’s eclectic but that’s how we roll.

Let me show you around….

Besides the bed, my favorite detail of the room – a map of Manhattan. I have a huge love for New York City. {map from Paper Source}

Thanks for coming on a house tour with me and visiting our guest room!

Other rooms on the House Tour include:
The Office

You have such a great sense of decorating style! (which is something I definitely do not have, but can recognize in others, LOL!!)

It’s all in the details and this room has plenty of charm!! The suitcase nighttable is AWESOME!! And the distressed bed looks beautiful. Any guest would feel so happy spending the night at The Bunkers ;o)

BTW- You need to do a tutorial on distressing the bed! I want to give the same look to an old china cabinet we inherited with the house.
